The classic cult film of the 70's and Kala Tapasvi K Vishwanath's masterpiece Sankarabharanam is making news all over again. The film which took Tollywood to a global level is being released in Tamil, fully digitised in Cinemascope. A senior Tamil producer has bought the rights for the digitization process. The film is all set to release at the end of December.

Interestingly, the original version i.e. the Telugu film ran for over 25 weeks in Tamil Nadu. And even now the magic is going to continue with the digitized version. The movie has bagged many awards including four national awards. Somayyarjulu, Manju Bhargavi, Chandramohan and others were in the lead roles. KV Mahadevan had received the national award for the best music director. Producer Edida Nageshwara Rao is also planning the digitized version in Telugu after the Tamil version hits the screens
