Dhanush is currently shooting for his next film, Thiruchitrambalam, directed by Mithran Jawahar. The film marks the fourth collaboration of Dhanush and Mithran after Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty, and Uthamaputhiran. Thiruchitrambalam is touted to be a fun-filled family entertainer that is centred around the concept of marriage. The highlight of the movie is that it marks the return of the much-loved sensational DnA combo, after 6 long years. Anirudh Ravichander's music will be one of the major strengths and USPs of Thiruchitrambalam and the fans are eagerly looking forward to hearing the songs. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has a colourful star cast that includes three female leads - Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Raashi Khanna.

Notably, this film will mark Dhanush's first outing with all three of them. Prakash Raj and veteran director Bharathiraja are also a part of the film's star cast. With such an exciting casting equation, the shooting of Thiruchitrambalam is progressing at a brisk pace and here is an exciting update for you all. Actress Raashi Khanna has begun shooting for her portions in the film from today (August 25) and she is expected to shoot for her combination scenes with Dhanush. Sharing a picture of her, rehearsing her dialogues for the shoot, Raashi Khanna wrote, "And we begin shooting for #Thiruchitrambalam".

The story and screenplay of Thiruchitrambalam has been penned by Dhanush himself and it is going to be interesting to see what the star actor has in store for the audience, this time. Dhanush's next release in Kollywood will be Maaran, which is directed by Karthick Naren of Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru fame. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the film has music composed by GV Prakash and has Malavika Mohanan playing the female lead. Atrangi Re (Hindi film with director Aanand L Rai) and The Gray Man (International Hollywood film for Netflix) are the other Dhanush films that are getting ready for release.
