Popular Bhojpuri lyricist Shyam Dehati passed away due to Covid 19 complications recently. After testing positive for the novel virus, Shyam Dehati was admitted to a private hospital in Gorakhpur. After failing to respond to the treatments, Shyam Dehati breathed his last on the night hours of April 18, Sunday. According to reports, Shyam's oxygen levels dropped significantly due to health complications. Popular Bhojpuri film writer Vikas Singh, who happens to be a close friend of Shyam Dehati told ABP News, “Shyam lived in Bettiah district and was undergoing treatment at a hospital there due to Corona infection. But when his health deteriorated drastically on Sunday night, he was admitted to the BRD Medical Hospital in Gorakhpur today where he succumbed within an hour of being admitted.”.

Shyam Dehati began his career as a lyricist in 2007 with the film, 'Niruha Rickshawala'. Shyam Dehati has worked with majority of the leading stars of Bhojpuri cinema including Khesari Lal Yadav, Ravi Kishan, Dineshlal Yadav Niruha, Manoj Tiwari, and others. He has also sung a few songs in Bhojpuri. Apart from being a lyricist and singer, Shyam Dehati also made his debut as an actor with the film Rani Dilbar Jani, but the film failed at the box office. Rani Dilbar Jani's cast also included Monalisa, Rani Chatterjee, Pakkhi Hegde, Anjana Singh, Archana Singh, Seema Singh, and Amrapali Dubey.

Popular actor and singer Khesari Lal Yadav took to his official Twitter page to post his heartfelt note on Shyam Dehati's unfortunate demise. Khesari tweeted, "Despite our millions of efforts, our brother Shyam is no more a rustic. This message is not being shared with us. The mind has become very heavy. Brother, you are not in this world, but every song you write will make you feel like we are among all of you...God bless your Holy Spirit...#RIPShyamDehati".

The fans are expressing their heartfelt condolences on social media and are praying for the departed soul to rest in peace. Covid - 19 virus has been killing a lot of innocent lives and it is in our hands to stay safe and protected.
