American actor and comedian Eric Stonestreet, best known for playing the character Cameron Tucker on the hit mockumentary family sitcom show, Modern Family, announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Lindsay Schweitzer on Instagram. Sharing photos with his fiance, the Emmy Award-winning actor's post saw a flood of congratulatory wishes and comments from leading Hollywood celebrities like Avengers films' actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Zachary Levi, including his Modern Family co-star Ariel Winter. Announcing his engagement, Eric wrote,  "She said, 'She’d have her people call my people.'" 

In the photos, we can see Eric Stonestreet and Lindsay Schweitzer posing happily as she is flaunting her engagement ring. Reacting to the big announcement, Ariel Winter commented, "F**k  Yeah!!! You finally wifed up the QUEEN!!! Love you both! Congrats!" Likewise, Gwyneth Paltrow extended her wishes to the newly-engaged couple saying, "YAY!!! We are so happy for you." According to reports, Schweitzer is a pediatric nurse and the two began dating after they first met at a Kansas City charity event in 2016. In an interview with Ellen, Stonestreet spoke about his relationship with Schweitzer saying, "She calms me — she calms my nerves." Below is Eric's engagement post: 

Eric, who has featured in Almost Famous, The Island, Bad Teacher and The Secret Life of Pets films, including appearing on TV shows like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Sofia the First, The Toy Box, won several accolades for his performances on Modern Family among which include an Emmy, the Screen Actors Guild Award, while also landing nominations for the Critics' Choice Television Award and the Golden Globes.
