Talking about this situation, Rakesh Gowthaman of Vettri Theatres (Chromepet), said that films like Master and Soorarai Pottru should only be helping them gain the momentum and restart the industry on a positive note. He also shared that the ideal decision would be to release both the films for this year’s Diwali (in November). He tweeted, “#Master & #SooraraiPottru are our only trump cards now that is going bring the crowd back to theatres !!! Both Master and Soorarai Pottru, which were scheduled to hit the screens this April, has now been postponed indefinitely due to Corona. Master, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, features Thalapathy Vijay and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles and the film holds huge expectations among the fans and general audience. Similarly, Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara, will feature Suriya in a completely different dimension with ample scope for performance.
