2021 has been a mixed bag, but there have been plenty of memorable moments this year as many celebrities have either gotten engaged, entered wedlock or welcomed a newborn. Likewise, popular young Malayalam TV actress Mridula Vijay who got engaged to actor Yuva Krishna in a private ceremony last year, took to social media to announce that they will be getting married on July 8, with the couple sharing a fun photo they had posed on a scooter. She wrote in her Instagram post, "Some unexpected turns may change the perspective of your journey to the next level and we believe that this is the one, with your blessings and prayers we are gonna make it possible. Over the years, Mridula Vijay has garnered a big fan following after her appearances on TV shows like Kalyanasougandhikam, Krishnathulasi, Manjurukum Kalam, Bharya, including a cameo in Kayyethum Doorath. She is currently playing the lead role in the Zee Keralam television series Pookkalam Varavayi and had also landed starring roles in Malayalam films such as Celebration, British Bungalow, Infinity and Next Token Number Please, including the Tamil film Jennifer Karuppaiya, while Yuva Krishna is a part of the Malayalam TV show Manjil Virinja Poovu. 

Talking to a leading media last year after the couple announced their engagement, Yuva spoke highly of Mridula as his life partner and said, "I respect her character. The multitalented person is 24x7 active and I am impressed with the way she handles things in life." Mridula too expressed her admiration for Yuva saying, "Soon after getting this proposal we became so close, it should be the reason that we share the same wavelength. He also supports me well in my career."
