Silambarasan TR has several interesting projects in his lineup and the most expected one among the lot is Maanaadu, the political action drama, directed by Venkat Prabhu. Maanaadu is a film that has excited the fans and film buffs ever since its announcement and it is surely going to be one of the important films in Simbu's filmography. Most of the film's shoot has been wrapped up and only a minor set of portions are left to be completed and it will be done soon. Very recently, the makers completed a very important schedule in a grand set where the political gathering/meeting (maanaadu portions) sequences were shot. 

The film is produced by Suresh Kamatchi and he has been constantly giving out updates about the film to engage the fans. Having said that, Suresh Kamatchi's latest tweet about Maanaadu has now excited the fans and has gone viral on social media. Suresh Kamatchi mentioned that Maanaadu will serve as a milestone film for both Simbu and director Venkat Prabhu and was confident about the film's success. Suresh Kamatchi's tweet read, "நான் பார்த்தவரைக்கும் #Maanaadu படம் @SilambarasanTR_ க்கும், @vp_offl க்கும் ஒரு மைல்கல்லாக அமையும். இருவருக்கும், உடன் பணிபுரிந்த நடிகர்கள்.. தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் எனது வாழ்த்துகள்". 

Suresh Kamatchi's tweet is loosely translated in English as, "From what I've seen, Maanaadu will be a milestone film for Silambarasan TR and Venkat Prabhu. My heartiest congratulations and wishes to them and the rest of the cast and crew,". This tweet has raised the expectations bar among the fans. Maanaadu is a political action drama that is expected to showcase Simbu in a new dimension and he will be seen playing the role of Abdul Khaaliq. Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the love interest of Simbu in this film which has SJ Suryah as the main antagonist. It is going to be exciting to witness the face off between Silambarasan TR and SJ Suryah on the big screen. 

The film's star cast also includes the likes of Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaran, Daniel Annie Pope, Manoj Bharathiraja, and others. The film will have music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and considering the massive success of Yuvan's previous collaborations with Simbu and Venkat Prabhu, the songs of Maanaadu are highly awaited. Richard M Nathan and Praveen KL have handled the film's cinematography and editing respectively.
