Lizzie Antony, who is known for her impressive performances in movies like Taramani, Pariyerum Perumal, and Peranbu, has played the lead role in the upcoming Tamil film, Pen Paadhi Aadai Paadhi. The film is written and directed by Harish Usha Sampath and Vignesh Jothi Narayanan. Pen Paadhi Aadai Paadhi is all set for its release tomorrow (September 24) on the GudSho OTT platform. Interestingly, the audience can watch the film at free of cost without any subscription.

Talking about the film in an official statement, the directors duo, Harish Usha Sampath and Vignesh Jothi Narayanan said, "The main idea of the film came from the men around us and their bizarre understanding of women. Even in recent Tamil films, women characters are being stereotyped and sexism is normalized on screen. We are in the 21st century, women are still being blamed for rape and the victims are being continuously slut-shamed. Over the course of the film, we understood feminism and women more and we were able to learn a lot from books like 'What should we talk when we talk about rape' by Sohaila Abdulali, 'Pen Yen Adimai Aanal' by Periyar and our women friends.

We were also very careful in making sure that this film does not become a propaganda film at any place. We concentrated on the story, character arcs and saved the propaganda for the post-climax. We were fortunate to work with very talented technicians like cinematographer Vishnu, music director Sanathan, and others. We are keen on seeing people respond to our film".

Syed, who is known for acting in Idharkkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara, will be seen playing the antagonist in Pen Paadhi Aadai Paadhi. Harish Usha Sampath has produced this film under the banner of Young Wing Crew, while the music and cinematography is handled by Sanathan Shree Krishnan and Vishnu Krishna respectively.
