A film that is being awaited with massive expectations around the country is the period action drama K. G. F: Chapter 2 starring Yash in the lead role. The KGF 2 teaser, which was officially released last week, has since taken social media by storm, with more than 150 million views recorded to date and is still going strong. Having said that, the KGF: Chapter 2 teaser is now facing trouble after the Karnataka State Anti-Tobacco Cell and Health Department raised objections to visuals showing Yash lighting a cigarette.

In a statement, the Karnataka State Anti-Tobacco Cell has sought for the deletion of the KGF 2 teaser from all online platforms as it shows the actor smoking a cigarette, which is in violation of Section 5 of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution), 2003. Likewise, the Karnataka Health Department has also made an appeal to Yash requesting him to remove the scene from the film and the teaser as it shows him blowing up a police jeeps after which he lights up a cigarette from the heat on the gun's barrel.

Furthermore, a letter opposing the visuals in the KGF: Chapter 2 teaser has also been sent to the film's director Prashant Neel and producer Vijay Kiragandur requesting for the visuals to be removed. As per the notice sent, the KGF 2 team has been informed that they were supposed to display the "Smoking is injurious to health" disclaimer since it is mandatory.

KGF: Chapter 2 is the sequel to 2018's KGF: Chapter 1, which went on to become the highest-grossing Kannada film of all-time, with the dubbed versions receiving an astonishing response after being released on Amazon Prime Video. Since the first film's OTT release, the expectations for KGF 2 have skyrocketed, with the response to the film's teaser as its testimony. KGF 2 will see Yash's Rocky squaring off against the Adheera character that was teased in the first film, with veteran Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt cast in the role. Actress Srinidhi Shetty is reprising her role as well as the female lead, with Malavika Avinash, Anant Nag, Archana Jois, Vasishta N Simha, Avinash BS, Achyuth Kumar, Balakrishna returning to their original roles, while Prakash Raj, Raveena Tandon, Saran Shakthi are the new big additions to the cast.
