Popular actor arrested for attempting to sell fake Corona Virus cure
The FBI has arrested a notable Hollywood actor Keith Lawrence Middlebrook who falsely claimed to have developed a cure for the coronavirus and solicited investments in a company he said would market the medication. Keith his 2.4 million Instagram followers that his company would return hundreds of millions of dollars in profit. The 53-year-old actor was taken into FBI’s custody late Wednesday afternoon after he claimed to have pills for preventing coronavirus. All the government bodies across the globe have been coming down hard on such scamsters.
Middlebrook claimed he had developed pills that would prevent COVID-19 infections and an injectable drug that would cure those already suffering from the virus. There are no known cures or vaccinations for the coronavirus to date. Misleading his 2.4 followers is a serious crime during this global crisis. The actor could face one felony count of attempted wire fraud. He was arrested during a meeting in which he delivered pills to an undercover FBI agent posing as an investor. Keith Lawrence has acted in films like Money Ball, Iron Man and Thor.
