Popular Malayalam TV serial actress Amritha Varnan got married to Navy officer Prashanth Kumar on Sunday. The wedding took place as per Hindu customs at the Guruvayoor temple, with the bride wearing a red Kasavu saree and the groom looking dashing in a golden color Kurta. Earlier, Amritha had posted pictures from her pre-wedding celebrations on her social media, with wishes coming in from fans and those in the entertainment fraternity. She had recently shot a 'save the date' video as a precursor to her wedding, including releasing another video post the joyous lifetime occasion on Sunday.

Amritha Varnan became a talent to reckon in the Malayalam entertainment industry after starring in popular TV serials like Autograph, Pattusari and a few other shows. Since then, Amritha has been starring in the hit Malayalam TV serial Karthikadeepam as the lead character Pavithra. Being broadcast on Zee Keralam and on their official ZEE5 platform, Karthikadeepam has Amritha paired opposite Yadhukrishnan, with the show continuing to enjoy a big following on the 8PM prime time slot from Mondays to Saturdays after it began airing in July 2020. Actress Snisha Chandra, who plays her on-screen sister-in-law in Karthikadeepam, took to her Instagram page to post a picture of Amritha and Prashanth from their wedding.
