GV Prakash Kumar's next release as an actor will be Vannakkam Da Mappilei which is scheduled to have a direct OTT release on Sun NXT platform on April 16. We are just three days away from witnessing the film on our small screens and let us hope that the film earns a positive reception from the fans. The film will also have its television premiere on Sun TV very soon. Vannakkam Da Mappilei is directed by M Rajesh who is known for his fun filled comedy entertainers like Siva Manasula Sakthi and Boss Engira Baskaran. Vannakkam Da Mappilei marks the second collaboration of GV Prakash Kumar and director Rajesh after Kadavul Irukkan Kumaru.

The film is produced by Sun Entertainment, a new branch of production started by Sun TV Network during the Covid times. Vannakkam Da Mappilei is the third film from the Sun Entertainment banner after Prasanna's Naanga Romba Busy and Vikram Prabhu's Pulikkuthi Pandi. Ahead of Vannakkam Da Mappilei's release, the makers have now released a new video song from the film and this song is called, 'Nanban Mattum Pothum Da'. This friendship song is penned by lyricist Saravedi Saran and sung by 'Enjoy Enjaami' sensation Arivu and Saravedi Saran. GV Prakash has composed this song and the film's music, as well.

The song has a fun vibe to it and it looks to be catered to the youth audience. The visuals of this song garner attention because of the way it has been shot. The entire video song consists of only 3 shots with each one running for about a minute. The entire song has been choreographed and executed in 3 long takes and it looks very impressive. Due credits to cinematographer Siddharth Ranganathan and dance choreographer Dinesh Master for their works. GV Prakash scores well with his dance moves as well. Vannakkam Da Mappilei has editing by Aashish Joseph and art direction by Suresh Kalleri. Amritha Aiyer who left an impact with her impressive performance as Thendral in Thalapathy Vijay's Bigil, will be playing the female lead in Vannakkam Da Mappilei.
