Dhanush's Karnan had its digital OTT release on Prime Video on May 14 and the audience who missed to watch the film in the theatres are catching it now and the social media is abuzz about the movie. The film is receiving unanimously positive reviews from the majority of the audience and wishes have been pouring in from various quarters for the makers. Karnan is directed by Mari Selvaraj and produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu. Popular Malayalam actress Rajisha Vijayan plays the female lead in this film which has Natty, Lal, Yogi Babu, Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli, Azhagam Perumal, Poo Ramu, Gouri Kishan in supporting roles.

Dhanush's performance as Karnan is one of the major positives of the film and the fans have already expressed that Dhanush deserves to win one more National Award for his highly impressive acting. Meanwhile, popular Hindi director Aanand L Rai took to his official Twitter page to share his thoughts about Karnan. He was all praise for Dhanush's performance and called him a magician. He also added that Karnan is an outstanding film. His official tweet read, "OUTSTANDING & BRILLIANT...This is how you can describe this experience called #Karnan @mari_selvaraj What a storyteller Folded hands The way you painted ur thoughts on the celluloid. Aanand L Rai is the director who introduced Dhanush in Hindi cinema with Raanjhanaa and the duo have once again collaborated for Atrangi Re which is currently in the post-production stages. Atrangi Re features Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan as the other leads, while Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Dimple Hayathi will be seen in supporting roles. Produced by Colour Yellow Productions in association with T Series and Cape Of Good Films, Atrangi Re has music scored by A.R.Rahman. For the first ever time, Dhanush has sung a song in an A.R.Rahman musical and the fans are eagerly looking forward to hearing that song.
