A few days before, it was announced that Dhanush's Karnan will be released in theatres in the month of April and the news got the fans highly excited. Following that, the makers have now arrived with some more exciting news from Karnan. It has been officially announced that the film will hit the screens on April 9, 2021, ahead of the Tamil New Year weekend and it is going to be exciting to see how the film performs at the box office. The release date announcement was made through the first look poster which looks stunning and intriguing. In this first look poster, we see an angry looking Dhanush being arrested and there are several people behind him.

We also see bloodstains on Dhanush's face and hands and the poster looks highly intense. This poster tells us that Karnan is indeed going to be a very serious film that will raise important questions. The poster has a tagline that reads, 'The Soul of Justice Never dies', and it looks like the film deals with Karnan's fight against injustice towards him and his people. We will have to wait until April 9 to know about the film's premise. We are 1.5 months away from witnessing the film in the theatres and without a doubt, Karnan is going to have a phenomenal opening at the box office. Karnan is also expected to bring out a new facet of Dhanush, the performer after the massive success of Asuran.

Right from the announcement of the film, the fans and film buffs have been excited to see the fresh combination of Dhanush and director Mari Selvaraj together and let us hope that the film turns out to be an interesting watch. Produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu under the banner of V Creations, Karnan has music scored by Santhosh Narayanan. On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Theni Eswar, and editing by Selva RK. Very recently, the film’s music rights were acquired by popular music label, Think Music. The first single from Karnan is expected to release by the end of this month or early next month.

Director Mari Selvaraj made an impactful debut in Tamil cinema with Pariyerum Perumal and this one being his second film, the Tamil audience are waiting to see what he has in store this time. Check out the intense first look poster of Dhanush’s Karnan here:
