Actor Daniel Balaji hospitalized in Chennai after testing positive for Covid-19
Popular Tamil actor Daniel Balaji has tested positive for Covid - 19 virus and he has been admitted to a private hospital for medical treatment. The news about his hospitalization was confirmed by official sources from the film industry and the fans have been praying for his speedy recovery. We hope Daniel Balaji returns home very soon, recovering from the infection. Daniel Balaji is one of the highly talented actors we have in Tamil cinema and he has given life to several memorable characters.
He made his acting debut with the Tamil serial, Chithi (starring Radikaa Sarathkumar) and he played the character of Daniel in the serial. The wide popularity of the character made people address him as 'Daniel' Balaji. After Chithi, Daniel Balaji acted in the widely popular TV serial, Alaigal which featured Venu Arvind, Jayachitra, Vadivukkarasi in the lead roles. The serial was directed by Sundar K Vijayan. His first film in Tamil was April Madhathil which featured Srikanth and Sneha in the lead roles.
The film which gave him his first ever breakthrough was Kamal Haasan's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. Daniel Balaji played one of the villains in the film and his highly impactful performance as Amudhan made him a bankable actor in the industry. Daniel Balaji's other notable works in Tamil include Polladhavan, Vai Raja Vai, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, Bairavaa, Ippadai Vellum, Maayavan, Vada Chennai, Gangs of Madras, and more. His last release was Bigil in which he played one of the villains, locking horns against Thalapathy Vijay. Daniel Balaji's next release will be Tuck Jagadish, the Telugu film which stars Nani, Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Varma in the lead roles.
