One of the most popular names in South India, actress Charmme Kaur won the hearts of fans in Tamil and Telugu films and has acted in nearly 100 films in her career spanning two decades now. The actress, who has since 2015 turned an active producer with the Telugu film Jyothi Lakshmi, is currently producing Vijay Deverakonda's Liger alongside her business collaborator, Puri Jagannadh, who is also directing the film. That said, Charmme's name has once again made the headlines after rumours began circulating on social media stating that she was getting married soon. 

Charmme, who came across the news, has now issued a statement dismissing the rumours about her wedding, while also adding that she would never do the mistake of getting married in her life.The actress-turned-producer's statement read, "I am currently in the best phase of my career and very happy with my life and I will never do such mistake of getting married in my life." Charmme further shared her statement on Twitter taking a dig at those who were spreading such rumours and fake news and captioned the tweet, "Goodbye to fake writers and rumours. must appreciate, u guys are fab in creating interesting stories."

Tamil audiences are familiar with Charmme for starring in Silambarasan TR's Kadhal Azhivathillai, Kadhal Kisu Kisu, Aahaa Ethanai Azhagu, including director Prabhu Solomon's Laadam in 2008. Her last appearance in Tamil was in a cameo in 'Chiyaan' Vikram's 10 Enradhukulla, with the actress since becoming a producer with director Puri Jagannadh under the Puri Connects banner. The two have so far produced films namely Rogue, Paisa Vasool, Mehbooba and the 2019 blockbuster ISmart Shankar
