Dhanush's critically acclaimed blockbuster hit, Asuran is being remade in Telugu as Narappa and it features Venkatesh in the lead role. The film features Priyamani as the female lead, reprising Manju Warrier's role, while the star cast also includes Karthik Rathnam, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Rao Ramesh, Rajeev Kanakala, Vasishta N Simha, and others. The film is produced by Suresh Productions in association with Kalaippuli S Thanu's V Creations. Narappa is directed by Srikanth Addala of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Brahmotsavam fame. Narappa is scheduled to release in theatres on May 14, 2021, and the makers are currently busy with the post production works.
