At a time when there is despair and grief everywhere as a result of the loss of life due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the joyous news of weddings and parenthood is being celebrated by many. Aparshakti and Aakriti, who entered wedlock in 2014, dropped the big news of their pregnancy, with the actor captioning their latest picture with a caption, "लॉकडाउन में काम तो एक्सपैंड हो नहीं पाया तो हमें लगा फ़ैमिली ही एक्सपैंड कर लेते हैं". The caption in Hindi has won hearts for its humor quotient which when translated sounds as follows: "As there was no expansion of work during lockdown, we decided we might as well expand our family." Leading Bollywood celebrities like Kartik Aaryan, Neena Gupta, Swara Bhaskar, Sanya Malhotra, Huma Qureshi, Ekta Kaul, Varun Sharma among others conveyed their hearty wishes to the couple in the comments section. Aparshakti, also known as the brother of leading Hindi actor Ayushmann Khurrana, has also made a name for himself as an RJ and TV host, and made his Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan's Dangal in 2016. He also made appearances in films like Saat Uchakkey, Badrinath Ki Dulhania alongside Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt and Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi starring Sonakshi Sinha and Diana Panty. Last seen in the 2020 musical drama Street Dancer 3D, Aparshakti 's upcoming film lineup includes Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Rashmi Rocket and Helmet to name a few.
