A film that has been carrying sky-high expectations right from the beginning of its announcement last year, 'Thala' Ajith's upcoming Valimai being directed by H. Vinoth wrapped up its second schedule a few days back. Touted to be an intense action drama with plenty of elements that will appeal to family audiences as well, Valimai's second leg of filming took place at the grand Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, where an action sequence with Ajith was shot, with the actor revealed to have reportedly sustained a minor injury during the shoot.

However, he immediately bounced back to filming the scene after undergoing appropriate treatment and rest. We are informed by our close sources that Ajith is doing well and is completely fine. The Valimai team is expected to resume production once again in a few days' time. The upcoming film is the second consecutive time Ajith, H. Vinoth, composer Yuvan Shankar Raja and producer Boney Kapoor are collaborating after last year's critical and commercial hit Nerkonda Paarvai, which was an official remake of the hit Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Pink.

Valimai is being produced under Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP banner and had begun shooting at the start of the year, before production was forced to be brought to a halt in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent nationwide lockdown. Fans are particularly ecstatic that H. Vinoth, who is known for his research and detailing in his films, will be bringing the same kind of intensity to the screenplay of Valimai. Considering it is not a remake and is an original film on the lines of his previous ventures such as Sathuranga Vettai and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, there is tremendous belief that he will deliver the goods once again this time.

Ajith too will be looking to hit the bullseye yet again after his 2019 turned out to be a terrific year in his career as both Viswasam and Nerkonda Paarvai turned out to be rousing box office successes. The upcoming film has been carrying tremendous hype as it has been revealed that there will be high-octane action sequences. Based on the reports of the stunts in Valimai, there are massive expectations among the actor's fans that he will once again treat them to a visual feast as he has done with his daredevilry in the past.

Apart from Ajith, Valimai will also include Karthikeya who is speculated to be playing the antagonist, with Kaala fame Huma Qureshi as the female lead, followed by Yogi Babu, Raj Ayyappa, Saranya Ravichandran among others forming the supporting cast.
