Kalidas Jayaram has already reached everybody's hearts with his portrayal as Satthar, in the recently released Netflix anthology Paava Kadhaigal. However, people who have expectations to the level of Thangam, would be disappointed as his performance seems inconsistent at times. However, in a few emotional scenes, he has stood out. Megha Akash has a very good avenue to explore her acting skills and has done her best! She has shown a lot of variations and the changes she has shown in her body language over the movie, has been done very well. The little kid, who has played Dharshini, has done very well. The artistes who played Meera's parents have emoted very well and are very good foils for the leads.

Director Balaji Tharaneetharan is back after a gap of 2 years from Seethakaathi and his unique style shows. The new concept he has brought in, is very new for Tamil Cinema and the way he has incorporated it all into this movie, with class. The cinematography and music elevate the visuals overall. As proven with his first two movies - Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Seethakaathi, Balaji Tharaneetharan has proven his skills as a filmmaker! The movie has been in the making for long and has finally seen the light of day. This project, produced by Vasan's Visual Ventures, is now streaming on Zee5 and is definitely a good watch!
