Leading Tamil actor Arun Vijay and his wife Aarathi celebrated their 17th engagement anniversary on Monday, September 11, and a collage of pictures of them in a video has now gone viral on social media. The couple, who are also parents to a daughter, Purvi, and a son, Arnav Vijay, is also being showered with wishes pouring in from all quarters. Aarathi, who posted a collage video of her photos with Arun Vijay, recalled her engagement day 17 years ago and described their meeting for the first time in the presence of their family members and close friends.

Sharing the video on Instagram, Aarathi penned a heart-warming romantic statement on her 17th engagement anniversary and wrote, "Where did the time go? On a rainy August Thursday evening, a boy walked across the hall, flowers in hand, probably his heart beating faster than ever; his thoughts would have been racing as much as mine, I'm sure. We met, hesitantly, with 20 more pairs of eyes staring at us that were friends and family. The beginning was awkward but the next minute set our history in stone. That was the story of a girl meeting a boy. Here we are today, 17 years later, still looking at each other the same way; no hesitation, no awkwardness but more fun and more love." (sic) She concluded her words saying, " 'அன்று போல் என்றும்'🧿 Happy Engagement anniversary my love 🥰🥂" (sic)
On the work front, Arun Vijay is currently busy with several big films in various stages of development starting with the long-delayed Agni Siragugal alongside Vijay Antony under Moodar Koodam fame Naveen's direction, which was confirmed for an October release a while back. The Thadam actor is also waiting for the espionage action thriller, Borrder, with his Kuttram 23 director Arivazhagan, to come out in cinemas, which too has undergone several release delays. Arun Vijay also has in his lineup Mission: Chapter 1 - Achcham Enbathu Illaye opposite Amy Jackson, which is being directed by blockbuster director A. L. Vijay, and is currently filming National Award-winning filmmaker Bala's Vanangaan.
