A film that has been one of the most-awaited in recent times, K. G. F: Chapter 2 will see Kannada superstar Yash reprising his character Raja Krishnappa Bairya aka. Rocky after the astounding success of K. G. F: Chapter 1 released in 2018. The period action film directed by Prashant Neel under Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films banner went on to be dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam and became a nationwide success, with fans since then waiting eagerly for the upcoming sequel. That said, there are now reports that Yash is set to join the sets of the pan-Indian sequel KGF: Chapter 2's final schedule in Hyderabad, with production expected to carry on till mid-December when it will be wrapped up. 

KGF: Chapter 2's shoot had faced a roadblock due to the production coming to a halt as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. It is also being reported that Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt, who has been cast as the character Adheera, earlier teased in KGF: Chapter 1, will next be joining the sets as well to complete his remaining portions in the film. Although nothing has been set in stone yet, there are reports and speculations that the film could be coming out as a January release, with an official announcement now awaited. 

Production on KGF: Chapter 2 resumed in August earlier this year, with the film also seeing Srinidhi Shetty reprising her role as the female lead Reena, followed by several other notable names such as Malavika Avinash, Anant Nag, Archana Jois, Vasishta N Simha, Avinash BS, Achyuth Kumar, Balakrishna returning to the roles, while Prakash Raj, Raveena Tandon, Saran Shakthi are some of the new additions to the cast. Yash had also revealed at the start of the year in an interview that KGF 2 will include double the action in comparison to the first film that came out nearly two years back. He went on to state that the fights would be bloodier, more gory and longer than what was witnessed in the first KGF film as his and Sanjay Dutt’s characters will be going full-out on each other with more brawn power.
