'Superstar' Rajinikanth paid a surprise visit to the Jayanagar bus depot in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Tuesday, August 29, after the phenomenal success of his latest film, Jailer. The iconic Tamil actor visited the place where he worked as a conductor before he shifted his career and became one of India's most popular stars of all time. Rajinikanth's visit was completely unannounced and saw him surrounded by fans, who rushed to witness him in person and take selfies, with the actor also obliging with his inimitable trademark smile. 

Rajinikanth's visit to the Jayanagar bus depot in Bengaluru has come after he recently went on to the Himalayas and met several North Indian politicians during his return to Chennai a few days ago. The actor had also taken part in a private success party hosted by the Jailer team last week, which saw him and several members of the blockbuster film have a blast at the celebrations, with pictures going viral on social media. Rajinikanth's success story has once again come to the fore with his visit to the Jayanagar bus depot in Bengaluru and the response of Jailer at the box office reminding fans of his life journey. 

With Jailer turning out to be a money-spinner at the box office, Rajinikanth will be seen in an extended cameo in the upcoming Lal Salaam under his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's direction. The actor recently wrapped up his portions in the film, which also stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles and has music composed by Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman. Rajinikanth is also all set to begin shooting his next big film, the tentatively titled Thalaivar 170, to be directed by Jai Bhim fame T. J. Gnanavel under the prestigious Lyca Productions banner, which includes music by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander.
