Recently, A.R.Rahman made a shocking statement that a gang of people in Bollywood are working against him. He said that a section of people in Hindi cinema are spreading false rumours about him, thereby not allowing good films (or scripts) to reach him. This news sent waves across the country and a lot of people came in support of the legendary composer. Leading celebrities and the worldwide fans raised their voices for Rahman and the entire social media was abuzz about it. People were shocked that it was Rahman who came out and spoke about this, considering the fact that he is someone who is silent, calm and soft spoken.

Ace actor and director Shekhar Kapur supported Rahman and tweeted, “You know what your problem is @arrahman? You went and got #Oscars . An Oscar is the kiss of death in Bollywood. It proves you have more talent than Bollywood can handle ..” Surprisingly, Rahman acknowledged this tweet and gave a very mature reply. Rahman said that the lost time cannot be brought back and added that it is time to move on and concentrate on other projects.

He tweeted, “Lost Money comes back, fame comes back, but the wasted prime time of our lives will never come back. Peace! Lets move on. We have greater things to do”. Not often do we see Rahman talking about the issues he faces in the industry and so this has become a hot topic in the industry. Rahman’s classy reply has got a very good reception and we are sure that the fans are going to be talking about this for the next few days.

On the professional front, A.R.Rahman’s music for Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film, Dil Bechara is winning hearts and his music has elevated the film to another level. His next film in Hindi will be the Dhanush - Akshay Kumar - Sara Ali Khan starrer Atrangi Re, directed by Aanand L Rai. In Tamil, Rahman has various exciting projects including Chiyaan Vikram’s Cobra, Sivakarthikeyan’s Ayalaan, and Mani Ratnam’s historical epic film, Ponniyin Selvan.
