Chiyaan Vikram’s Cobra is one of the biggest films being made in Tamil cinema and it is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu of Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal fame. The film will feature Vikram in different makeovers and it is going to be one of the major highlights to watch out for. In a recent exclusive Facebook live session, director Ajay Gnanamuthu shared quite a lot of updates about Cobra and we are sure it is going to excite the fans. Talking about the film’s release, he revealed that the film was supposed to hit the screens today (May 21), had the Corona scene not occurred.
He said, “We were planning to release the film today, but Corona changed all our plans and now we have no idea about the release. We have to shoot our remaining portions and then only think about the new release plan.” Also, interestingly, Ajay’s debut directorial, Demonte Colony released today, five years back in 2015. Having said that, if Cobra had released today, Ajay would have had two of his movie releases on the same date, which is a rare phenomena.
Produced by Lalit Kumar’s Seven Screen Studios, Cobra has music scored by A.R.Rahman and cinematography by debutant Harish Kannan. Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan will be making his debut as an actor with Cobra and apart from him, actors like Srindhi Shetty, Mirnalini Ravi, Anandaraj, K.S.Ravikumar, Miya George, Roshan Matthews, are also part of the star cast.
