Leading Bollywood actress Yami Gautam surprised everyone when she tied the knot with Hindi film director Aditya Dhar in an intimate wedding ceremony on Friday. The popular actress shared the happy news on her social media pages along with a picture of herself with Aditya as the newly-wed couple. Taking to her Twitter page, Yami posted a candid photo from the wedding ceremony where they both are seen in their traditional wedding attires. Yami, who is dressed in a red saree and a dupatta on her forehead, has complimented her look with gold kalira ornaments, while Aditya looks dashing in his traditional sherwani.

Yami, who posted their first picture as man and wife, wrote, "With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. As we embark on the journey of love and friendship, we seek all your blessings and good wishes. Love, Yami and Aditya." The news of the wedding has come as a big surprise to everyone, including celebrities, as wishes have begun pouring in for the newly-married couple. Below is Yami's tweet:

Meanwhile, on the work front, Yami is all set to be seen next in Bhoot Police alongside leading Bollywood heroes Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, including Jacqueline Fernandez who has been cast as another female lead. The Kaabil actress also has in her lineup the direct-to-digital thriller, A Thursday, in which she will be playing the role of a school teacher named Naina, with Neha Dhupia, Dimple Kapadia, Atul Kulkarni and Maya Sarao forming the major supporting cast.

Yami Gautam became a sensation across the country after her Bollywood debut, Vicky Donor, opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. Having tasted massive success in Hrithik Roshan's blockbuster Kaabil, the actress also made a big impression in Varun Dhawan's Badlapur, Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike and the 2019 hit, Bala. Tamil cinema audiences will know Yami after she starred opposite Jai in the Gautham Menon-produced venture, Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum, including acclaimed director Radha Mohan’s Gouravam. As for Aditya Dhar, his next is a sci-fi film titled The Immortal Ashwatthama, which has him reuniting with Vicky Kaushal after Uri: The Surgical Strike.
