The first ever full-length spoof movie in Indian Cinema - Tamizh Padam, released on this day, 10 years back! With this movie's release, a new production house also entered Tamil Cinema and along with the movie, the Y Not Studios banner, also completed a decade in movies! In a wildly fluctuating field like Cinema, it is no mean feat to sustain and that too remain successful, for a decade! However, Y Not Studios has pulled off this feat and looks all set to carry forward this legacy, over many decades to come! Commemorating this day, Y Not Studios has released a press statement, looking back at their journey and also thanked all the people they have been associated with, over the years!

Meanwhile, director CS Amudhan who debuted with Tamizh Padam, took to his Twitter page to put up a post for 10 years of his movie! He is known for his innovative thinking and witty posts and this post too, is with a tongue-in-cheek reference to the ongoing nationwide protests against the CAA and NRC. A never-seen-before photo from the movie's photo shoot has also been released. Y Not Studios has bankrolled some memorable movies like Irudhi Suttru, Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi, Vikram Vedha, Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, Kaaviya Thalaivan and the 2019 super hit Game Over.

Movies like D40 - with Dhanush and Karthik Subbaraj, Sillu Karupatti director Halitha Shameem's next movie Aelay and Yogi Babu's Mandela with director Madonne Ashwin are in the pipeline from Y Not Studios. We wish Y Not Studios a lot many more years in the business and lots of success!
