Bhavna Balakrishnan, popularly known as VJ Bhavna, is a renowned television anchor among the Tamil audience. She hosted shows like Jodi No 1, Airtel Super Singer, and more. She is also a sports presenter who works for Star Sports network on the several programs for their channel. As a sports journalist, she presented Pro Kabaddi League and Indian Premier League (IPL) since 2018. As we all know, the thirteenth season of IPL is all set to begin on September 19 at UAE. All the 8 teams are currently undergoing practice sessions and this season is going to be quite special. It will prove to be a great source of entertainment and lift up the spirits of the people of the country who are mentally down due to the pandemic.

The commentators and sports presenters have not flown to Dubai and instead, they will work from Mumbai in the studio. A day before traveling to Mumbai (from Chennai) for presenting this year's IPL, Bhavna injured her leg badly. She is currently in the process of recovery. She took to her social media page to share the news and post a video of her injured leg. She revealed that she tore her ligament. Despite the injury, she managed to travel safely and land in Mumbai. Bhavna shared the video and wrote, "Shit happens! But what defines your character is how you react to it. I cried, consoled myself and then held my head up high and boarded the flight. When life gets tough, the tough get going! This is how my @IPL journey began! Send me love and prayers, I’m sure I’ll heal soon :)".

Sharing the same video on Instagram, Bhavna revealed that she tested negative for Corona virus and is currently on quarantine. She posted, “The last 48 hours have been eventful peeps! I tested negative but I also tore my ligament :( Thankfully my husband flew with me and I’m tucked away in the quarantine, hoping it will heal in the next 2-3 weeks! Here’s a quick look at what happened!”.

Currently, Bhavna's followers and well wishers have been sharing their positive words of motivation and have prayed for the speedy recovery. Bhavna will work as one of the presenters of this year's IPL and will discuss about the matches with the experts. Check out Bhavna’s video below:
