Fans were so excited about the news and it garnered a lot of attention. However, it has now been revealed that Vijay Sethupathi had to let go off the film due to date issues.

In a recent interview with a popular media house, Vijay Sethupathi said, “There were discussions, but I didn’t have dates to allot for the film (Pushpa). I am not acting in the film. Both director Sukumar and Allu Arjun are big names in Telugu industry. So, I met Sukumar in person and told him about my situation and date problems. Pushpa has a fantastic story and I really liked it. The character was also quite exciting. I should only be worried about missing the film”.

Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi has quite a lot of various other projects which are in different stages of production. The list includes Ka Pae Ranasingam, Maamanithan, Laabam, Yaadhum Oorey Yaavarum Kelir, Uppena (Telugu), Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Laal Singh Chaddha, and an untitled film each with directors Ponram and Arumugakumar. Makkal Selvan will also be acting in the biopic of legendary cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan and this film is going to be made as a pan-Indian mega biggie.
