As reported earlier Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be playing a villain role in an upcoming Telugu film called Uppena directed by Bucchi Babu Sana. Looks like it's been season of negative roles for Vijay Sethupathi. It all started with Petta when he locked horns with Superstar Rajinikanth. He was later approached by Master team to play Thalapathy Vijay’s villain. We will have to wait and see how that cat and mouse game is going to be with Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi. In Uppena Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing the lead heroine’s father.
Two young lads Panjaa Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty will be seen playing the lead roles. Produced by Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers, this film is being directed by Sukumar's assistant Bucchi Babu Sana and music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad while Shamdat takes care of the cinematography and Navin Nooli handles the cuts. This film which was supposed to release on April 2nd has now been postponed due to the Corona pandemic. Now the latest reports from Tollywood says that Vijay Sethupathi has acquired the Tamil rights of Uppena. Official confirmation regarding the same is awaited though!
