Speculations were rife on social media that Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal was booked by the Mumbai Police for violating the national lockdown and driving on the road. To clear the air, Vicky Kaushal took to his official Twitter space to clarify that there was no truth to the speculations and requested people not to believe in baseless rumours. He tweeted, “There are baseless rumours suggesting that I broke the lockdown and got pulled up by the cops. I've not stepped out of my house since the lockdown started. I request people not to heed the rumours. @MumbaiPolice”.

It can be recalled that Vicky Kaushal had recently donated an amount of Rs 1 crore towards the PM - CARES Relief Fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to fight the corona virus pandemic financially. On the professional front, Vicky was last seen in the horror film, Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship, which opened to mixed reviews from the critics and general audience.

His next film would be Sardar Udham Singh, which is a biopic of Indian freedom fighter, Udham Singh. This film will be directed by popular filmmaker Shoojit Sircar. Vicky is also a part of Karan Johar’s historical epic directorial, Takht. Vicky Kaushal, who made his debut as a lead actor with the acclaimed film, Masaan, owns a huge fan base for his natural acting skills. Check out his clarification tweet below:
