The news of Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson testing positive last week for coronavirus came as a major shock for fans across the world. Tom Hanks has been in touch with fans and followers on social media by keeping them informed regarding his own and wife Rita Wilson's health while also requesting everyone to follow the necessary safety procedures to ward away from the dreaded disease, which has been declared as an epidemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The actor and his wife have since been in isolation as part of precautionary safety measures so as to not spread the disease to others, which could lead to more serious illnesses. That said, Tom Hanks has now made a massive announcement on his Twitter page saying he and his wife have been discharged from the Queensland hospital in Australia and are self-quarantining themselves in the house they had rented earlier Down Under.
