Young Tamil film director Balamithran passed away in Chennai today after suffering a stroke. The director who was taking treatment in SRM hospital died today morning. Reports suggest that the reason for his stroke was due to stress. His debut film Udukkai has been stalled with just 5 days shoot remaining. Even during the lockdown Balamithran was supposedly working on the post-production work of Udukkai. He was young and had a big dream to conquer in Kollywood. His debut film kick-started in the month of May last year. Udukkai is a family entertainer with a strong message. The film also has a horror element that will apparently be loved by the kids.
Newcomers Vipin, Velina Princess and Sanjana Singh play the lead roles in this message-oriented horror film that talks about the misuse of Facebook and its consequences. Speaking at Udukkai’s Pooja function Balamithran had said - “The film preaches for women safety, how people misuse the photos of women posted on Facebook, how it affects them and their family, that’s what the script talks about.” Actress Sanjana Singh had expressed her grief via Twitter - "So devastated to hear the news my director for the movie #udakkai such a kind & loving person gone too soon. My heart aches condolences to his family." Sanjana Singh has acted in film like Ko, Thani Oruvan and Anjaan.
