Mollywood is known for churning out movies with quality content which can be remade easily in other languages, with very minor adaptations! One such recent release was the Sachy directorial Ayyappanum Koshiyum. This movie starred Biju Menon & Prithviraj in the titular roles and was bankrolled by Gold Coin Motion Picture Company. An action drama with the conflict between a sincere Police officer with a past and an arrogant ex-serviceman being the main theme, this movie received a lot of acclaim from all quarters! Both Biju & Prithviraj had equal scope in the movie and the duo doled out stellar performances! We now hear that the Telugu remake rights of this project have been acquired by Sithara Entertainments.

Speculations doing the rounds are that the Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum is most likely to star Nandamuri Balakrishna and Rana Daggubati, who would be reprising Biju Menon's and Prithviraj's roles respectively! However, an official announcement in this regard has not been made yet. Balakrishna was last seen in the KS Ravikumar directorial Ruler, in which he was seen playing two contrasting roles. Rana Daggubati, who shot to fame playing the antagonist in the Baahubali movies, has since earned a wonderful name for himself and was last seen on screens in a cameo appearance in the Tamil movie Enai Noki Paayum Thota. It would be interesting to see Rana and Balayya come together on screen. Let's wait and see if this materialises!
