'Superstar' Rajinikanth's next film Annaatthe is one of the biggest ventures in the actor's career and has been announced for a grand Diwali release in November. Being directed by Siva under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner and featuring music by chart-buster composer D. Imman, the talk for the upcoming film touted to be a mass rural family entertainer has been massive right from the moment it went on floors in late 2019. With the film currently in post-production stages, Sun Pictures dropped the much-awaited announcement of the Annaatthe first look and motion poster on Thursday sending Rajinikanth fans into celebration mode.

Taking to Twitter, Sun Pictures made the announcement that the highly-anticipated Annaatthe first look will be unveiled on September 10 at 11 a.m., while the film's motion poster will be released on the same day at 6 p.m on the auspicious occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi. This latest announcement has come as a big joy for 'Thalaivar' fans, who have been waiting for the first visuals from the film considering no promotional material has been released up until now. Expectations for Annaatthe are sky-high as it will see Rajinikanth in a rural backdrop taking us back to the times when the veteran actor was last seen in such a milieu in Padayappa in 1999. The buzz for Annaatthe is staggering especially after Rajinikanth's previous film, Darbar, failed to sizzle at the box office, with hopes high this time for the superstar to once again deliver yet another box office money-spinner. Apart from Rajinikanth, Annaatthe includes a multi-star cast featuring names like Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu, Meena, Nayanthara, Prakash Raj, Soori, Jagapathi Babu, Abhimanyu Singh and Sathish in major supporting roles.
