Popular television actor Pearl V Puri has been granted bail after he was arrested on June 4 by the Waliv police (Vasai), Mumbai under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) in the alleged rape and molestation of a minor girl. The verdict came after his hearing on Tuesday, with his lawyer Rajeev Sawant confirming the news to ETimes TV. Puri had been under judicial custody for over a week and was released from jail after 11 days.

A bail application was initially filed by Pearl V Puri's lawyer on June 7 and the hearing was later postponed. The actor’s previous bail had also been rejected. Puri had been arrested over an alleged rape and molestation incident that took place in 2019 during the shooting of his television show, Bepanah Pyarr. The alleged victim, who was Puri's co-star on the show, is the daughter of an actor.

Pearl V Puri established himself as a talent to reckon with on the television circuit after he starred in a number of notable hit TV serials such as Naagarjuna – Ek Yoddha, Naagin 3, Bepanah Pyaar and the recently-concluded supernatural thriller show, Brahmarakshas 2: Phir Jaag Utha Shaitan. He also made appearances on reality shows such as Bigg Boss as a guest, including participating as a contestant on Khatra Khatra Khatra and Box Cricket League 4.
