Karthi’s Sulthan is scheduled to release in theatres across the globe on April 2 and it is going to be Karthi’s next big release in Tamil cinema. Sulthan is directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan of Remo fame and produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures. The teaser of Sulthan was released a few days before and it received a positive response from the fans and film buffs. As of now, the teaser of Sulthan has crossed over 7 million views on YouTube and the numbers are going to steadily increase for the next few days. Meanwhile, the first single from the film is all set to release tomorrow (February 11) evening at 6 PM and the first single is called ‘Jai Sulthan’.

The makers have released a sneak peek of the song through a new video and the glimpse sounds promising. From what we listen to, it looks like Jai Sulthan will be a highly energetic folk number that will have high scope for dance. The film’s music is composed by popular music duo, Vivek - Mervin and they seem to have got a winner in hand already. Let us hope that the ‘Jai Sulthan’ song strikes a chord with the masses and turns out to be a chartbuster. The song is penned by lyricist Viveka. Sulthan features the young and happening Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and it is her first film in Tamil cinema. Even before the release of her first film, Rashmika is a sensation among the Tamil audience and it is going to be interesting to see how her performance is received by the fans.

The star cast also includes the likes of Napoleon, KGF fame Ramachandra Raju, Yogi Babu, and others. Napoleon plays Karthi’s father in the film, while Ramachandra Raju is said to play one of the key antagonists. On the technical side, Sulthan has cinematography by Kaithi and Master fame Sathyan Sooryan, while the editing and art direction departments are taken care of by Ruben and Rajeevan respectively. Dhilip Subbarayan has choreographed the film's stunts and Hariharasuthan Thangavelu has penned the dialogues.
