Kajal Aggarwal will be teaming up with her Kavalai Vendaam director Deekay for a new film that is currently in the pre-production stages. Director Deekay who made an impressive debut in Tamil cinema with the horror-comedy, Yaamirukka Bayamey, later made movies like Kavalai Vendam and Kaatteri (yet to be released). It looks like his next directorial will also be a horror film and he is said to be busily finalizing the cast for the project. Director Deekay on his official Instagram page posted a selfie picture with Kajal Aggarwal and her husband, Gautam Kitchlu. This picture created a good buzz on social media and people were curious to know if they were teaming up once again.

Incidentally, it turns out to be true and Kajal Aggarwal will be joining hands with Deekay for the second time. According to reports, this horror film will have four female leads and director Deekay is apparently holding talks with other leading heroines.

Meanwhile, director Deekay is keenly awaiting the release of his next film, Kaatteri, that features Vaibhav, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sonam Bajwa and Aathmika in the lead roles. This horror comedy film was initially scheduled to hit the screens for this year's April, but the plans were scrapped due to the global pandemic. The film was already delayed for a longer time due to other financial issues. In the recent past, it was speculated that Kaatteri could probably have a direct digital OTT release on Zee 5 or Prime Video platform, but the makers neither denied nor confirmed the news. This film is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Green.

Kajal Aggarwal, on the other hand, is awaiting the release of her long-delayed film, Paris Paris, directed by Ramesh Aravind. Paris Paris is the official Tamil remake of Kangana Ranaut's Queen. Recently, there were rumours that Paris Paris would have a direct digital release on Amazon Prime Video, but there were no confirmations regarding it. However, Kajal's next big project in Tamil cinema will be Indian 2, the Kamal Haasan starrer. Directed by ace filmmaker Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions, this mega-budgeted political drama has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. Kajal Aggarwal will reportedly portray a very challenging character that will have significant importance in the film's story.
