Four-time National Award winner Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 with director Shankar has resumed production with the iconic actor joining the film's sets today at the EVP Film City on the outskirts of Chennai. Being produced by Lyca Productions, the upcoming film is a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster, Indian, and will include music by Anirudh Ravichander.
With pictures and videos from the shooting spot going viral on social networking forums, actress Kajal Aggarwal has now taken to her Twitter page to inform her fans that she is excited and happy to finally begin shooting her portions in Indian 2. Kajal also shared a picture of herself seated in front of a mirror while not revealing the makeup that was being done to her leading us to further believe that she indeed could be playing the role of an aged individual as being speculated for a while now. Indian 2 had a major schedule wrapped at Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh up a while back following which the team without Kamal Haasan had filmed a few patchwork portions in Chennai. Being planned for an April 14, 2021 release, Indian 2 also includes actresses Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh along with Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, Nedumudi Venu, Delhi Ganesh, Vivek with Rathnavelu handling the cinematography and Sreekar Prasad taking care of the editing.
