Producer JSK Sathish who runs a productions company called JSK Film Corporation has requested actors to cut down their salary during this lockdown crisis. He has also requested financiers to waive off interest. He has put forth three requests to save the Tamil film industry during this unfortunate circumstances. His Tweet reads as follows:
“I kindly request the following on behalf of the entire tamil film industry during this time of crisis and for the welfare of our industry. Lets join hands and support ourselves. Thank you
1. Request all the Heroes/Heroines, Directors, Music Directors & Cinematographers to cut down their salaries by 30% for all the ongoing projects.
2. Request all the film financiers to waive off entire interest amount for 3 months.
3. Theatre owners & Distributors are needed to prioritise the release of small films and rerelease of films that were running prior to this lockdown once everything returns to normal.
Wish all your support in this just to keep our industry from sinking during this phase.”
JSK Sathish has been a distributor before turning a producer, he has also acted in films. So, he knows that struggles that people in the industry faces. We hope actors and financiers give it a thought to his reasonable requests.
