The adult comedy horror film, Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu, which came out in theatres worldwide last year as summer release, went on to become a box office success and a rage among the youth. Directed by Hara Hara Mahadevaki fame Santhosh P. Jayakumar, IAMK, as it is called in short, had Gautham Karthik, Vaibhavi Shandilya, Yashika Aannand, Chandrika Ravi and Shah Ra in the lead roles.
That said, it was revealed earlier this week that a sequel titled, Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu 2 or IAMK 2 is under development with the film’s director Santhosh P. Jayakumar himself playing the hero this time. Now, comedian Chaams has announced on his Twitter page that he too has come on board the upcoming film while also declaring it will be out as a summer release in May 2020. Check out his tweet below:
As of now, only Santhosh Jayakumar and Chaams form the cast and it is unknown whether the cast from the original film will be making an appearance. An official remake of the Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu had come out in Telugu as well under the title, Chikati Gadilo Chithakotudu, with Adith, Nikki Tamboli, Bhagyashree Mote and Sayantani Guhathakurta in starring roles, which as well went on to sell tickets like hotcakes.
