Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra is currently in post production stages and the team is working at a rapid pace to complete the film as soon as possible. The shooting of the film was completely wrapped up, a few weeks before, in Russia. The film has quite a lot of CGI shots and hence the team is focused on working on it, right now. The editing and other post production works are also simultaneously happening. Meanwhile, a section of media reported that the digital streaming rights of the film have been acquired by the Netflix platform for a humongous price. The fans were also excited about the update. However, it turns out that the news is not true.

The film's production house, Seven Screen Studio, denied the speculation and claimed it to be 'fake'. This immediate clarification from the makers has put an end to the speculations. It looks like we will have to wait for a few more weeks to know about the film's digital release plans. Cobra will be Chiyaan Vikram's next release in Tamil cinema and it is expected to be an important outing in the ace actor's filmography. Vikram is a versatile performer and Cobra seems to be one of those films that will give him the scope and space to exhibit his acting prowess. Cobra is directed by the young and promising Ajay Gnanamuthu who is known for directing movies like Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal.

Produced by Lalit Kumar under the banner of 7 Screen Studio, the film has music composed by the legendary AR Rahman. The ace composer has already delivered a chartbuster single in the form of 'Thumbi Thullal' which has earned the love of the fans and music lovers. The rest of the songs from the album are expected to release soon. The film has cinematography by debutant Harish Kannan, while the editing is done by Bhuvan Srinivasan. KGF sensation Srinidhi Shetty will be seen as the female lead in this film and interestingly, it will be her debut in Tamil cinema.

Former Indian Cricketer Irfan Pathan will also be making his debut as an actor with Cobra and he plays the key antagonist in the film. The film also has KS Ravikumar, Anandaraj, Rosshan Matthew, Mirnalini Ravi, Miya George, and others in supporting roles. For now, check out the production house's important clarification tweet regarding Cobra's digital streaming rights here:
