Idris Elba has established himself as one of the most popular English actors in Hollywood having been seen in films such as 28 Weeks Later, RocknRolla, Prometheus, Pacific Rim, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Beasts of No Nation, Star Trek Beyond, the Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw to name a few. Set to be seen next in the Suicide Squad sequel, The Suicide Squad, Idris Elba played the role of the superhero character, Heimdall, in Marvel Studios' Thor and Avengers films and has been a hot favorite to take over from Daniel Craig as the next James Bond.

Having said that, Idris Elba's fans were in for a shock when the actor earlier today took to his Twitter page to reveal that he has tested positive for coronavirus. However, the superstar performer revealed he hasn't yet experienced any symptoms associated with the disease while adding he might have contracted it from another person who might be the host. In the video, we see Idris Elba's wife, Sabrina Dhowre also present alongside him. Check out the video on Twitter below:

This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing 👊🏾👊🏾 No panic. pic.twitter.com/Lg7HVMZglZ
