Actor Arun Vijay made his acting debut as a hero in 1995 in the film, Murai Mappillai, and went on to star in several notable films which include Pandavar Bhoomi, Iyarkai, Thadaiyara Thaakka and Yennai Arindhaal, to name a few. Among the various films he starred in, Arun Vijay's breakout role was truly in the 2015 hit film, Yennai Arindhaal, in which he played the antagonist to 'Thala' Ajith under Gautham Menon's direction.

Yennai Arindhaal, which released in 2015 on February 5, is celebrating its fifth anniversary today, with fans continuing to wish the film's stars including Arun Vijay, who took to his Twitter page to express his gratitude for the love being showered upon him and the film. Arun Vijay shared a specially-edited video of his character, Victor, while also saying the film's release date was the day when his life and career changed. As for his upcoming projects, Arun Vijay's first release of 2020 will be the upcoming action gangster drama, Mafia: Chapter 1, alongside Prasanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar, while also being part of Boxer opposite Ritika Singh, Wagah director GNR Kumaravelan's cop film, Sinam, Moodar Koodam fame Naveen's Agni Siragugal with Vijay Antony and Akshara Haasan and the tentatively titled, AV 31, which marks his reunion with Arivazhagan Venkatachalam after their Kuttram 23 in 2017.
