India is a nation with a very vast demography and a population that comes up to the combined population of a number of other countries! When the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic first broke out, the numbers were quite high in India but with rigorous implementation of Lockdown measures, there seems to be some semblance of control over the outbreak and the Indian government has been fighting hard to control the spread of this deadly virus. We now have some good news though about the numbers in a lot of places in India!

A latest press release by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of the Government of India, has revealed that 16 districts in the country, which had earlier reported the presence of COVID-19 cases, have not reported any further fresh/new cases in the past 28 days! The newest districts to be added to this list are Gondia in Maharashtra (one of the most badly affected states), Devanagere in Karnataka and Lakhi Sarai, in Bihar! However, just 2 districts which did not have any fresh cases in the past 28 days have registered fresh cases now. They are Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh and Shaheed Bhagat Singh in Punjab. Another interesting detail is of that 85 districts from 25 states & Union Territories have not reported any new COVID positive cases in the past 14 days!

Galatta Media urges all its readers, viewers and followers to follow the guidelines imposed by the authorities and follow social distancing when outside home but to mostly stay home and stay safe!
