The wait has come to an end for 'Thalapathy' Vijay's fans everywhere as the Tamil superstar's Leo has begun streaming in India on Netflix on Friday, November 24. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial has premiered in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages, with the film scheduled to begin streaming globally on November 28. Along with the  Leo streaming premiere announcement, Netflix has also announced that a dubbed English version of the Vijay-starrer will be coming out soon on their platform, which has left fans surprised. 

Inspired by A History of Violence (2005), Leo is the first-ever Vijay film to be getting a completely dubbed English version on Netflix and will no doubt be a big welcome move for English audiences abroad; especially in the West. The film's premiere on the OTT platform has come a month after its theatrical release on October 19 and has since grossed over 600 crores in worldwide collections. Vijay's Leo has already created several big records en route to its box office dominance during its theatrical run, which is still going strong on several cinema screens across Tamil Nadu.  

Leo marked the second time the 'Thalapathy' Vijay, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander trio hit the bullseye after their Master (2021) turned out to be a blockbuster. The film paired Vijay with Trisha Krishnan once again after 15 years, while the supporting cast featuring the likes of Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Madonna Sebastian, Sandy master, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, Baby Iyal, among others in key roles. Leo is now also a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) as it featured 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan reprising his role as Vikram in a voice-only cameo from Vikram (2022) and Maya Krishnan also making an appearance, while George Maryan returned as Napoleon from Kaithi (2019).
