'Thalapathy' Vijay, who is fresh from the massive box office success of his Leo, attended the film's producer Lalit Kumar's son's wedding reception on Thursday evening, November 23, in Chennai. The actor seen in a black and white shirt was accompanied by his manager Jagadish Palanisamy and the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam (VMI) General Secretary, Bussy Anand, with photos and videos of his appearance at the reception going viral on social media. Leo composer 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander also made his presence felt and was seen in a gray shirt and black trousers at Lalit Kumar's son's grand wedding reception. Vijay presented the newly-married couple with a bouquet and posed for the cameras along with the newly-married couple and Leo producer Lalit Kumar, while also waving to the guests at the wedding reception amidst wild cheers.

Leo marked the second time Vijay and Lalit Kumar collaborated after their Master (2021), which was also directed by hit filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj and featured music composed by Anirudh while going on to become a money-spinner at the box office. Leo has so far reportedly grossed 600 crores in worldwide collections and continues to go strong in cinemas in many places across Tamil Nadu despite Diwali releases, with the mass action drama premiering on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages in India today, while the film will begin streaming globally from November 28.

With Leo turning out to be a phenomenal box office success, 'Thalapathy' Vijay is at present working on his next big film, the tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, under Venkat Prabhu's direction, which will feature music by celebrated composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. The upcoming venture is billed to be a "high-octane action film" and wrapped up its first schedule in Chennai in October, with the team then filming a few sequences in Thailand earlier this month. Announced to open in theatres in 2024, Thalapathy 68 will see Vijay sharing the screen with Kolai actress Meenakshi Chaudhary, who is playing the female lead, while the supporting cast includes actors Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Jayaram, Laila, Sneha, Yogi Babu, Ajmal Amir, VTV Ganesh, Premgi Amaren, Vaibhav, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raaj appearing in key roles.
