Vennela Kishore turns director
Comedy actor Vennela Kishore, who shot to fame with his hilarious performance as Khadar Bhai in Vennela 2005, is turning director. According to sources, Kishore will soon make a sequel to Vennela, directed by Deva Katta.
Deva Katta tweeted: "heard vennela – 2 story y’day…HILARIOUS!! It’s going to be a comedy feast. Khadar bhai @vennelakishore is directing the film. wishing lck." More details will be out soon.
Made with a budget of Rs. 2.9 crores, Vennela was one of the biggest hits in 2005. It was well received among the young, urban audiences and South Indian immigrant students in USA, mostly from Andhra Pradesh.
