Tributes paid to Telangana Keshavadas
The Andhra Pradesh State Cultural Council has paid rich tributes to writer-lyricist Chandala Keshavadasu, popularly known as Telangana Keshavadas, the first lyricist of Telugu talkie cinema.
Speaking at the 135th birth anniversary of Keshavadas in Hyderabad on Monday, the chairman of the Cultural Council R.V. Ramana Murthy said Keshavadas' first play ‘Kanakthara' has completed 100 years and it was made into a feature film twice. In all, he had given lyrics to 12 films.
