National Award winning actress Priyamani will play conjoined twins in her forthcoming horror trilingual Charulatha, made simultaneously in Telugu, Telugu and Kannada by director Ponkumaran.

Starring Malayalam actor Skanda as the hero, Charulatha is inspired by Thai film Alone, which is about two conjoined twins with contrast natures. The makers have made some changes to the original script to suit the taste of South Indian audience.

The Telugu edition of Charulatha is produced by leading Telugu producer Allu Aravind of Geetha Arts. While Dwarakish produces the Kannada version, Ramesh Krishnamoorthy produces the Tamil version. The first schedule was shot in Chennai and Kerala and the second will go on floors in Bangalore soon.
